ALLAHUMMA RABBAN-NOORIL ADHWEEMI WA RABBAL QURSIYYIR-RAFEE'I WA RABBIL BAHRIL MASJOORI WA MUNZILAT-TAWRAATI WAL INJEELI WAZ-ZABOORI, WA RABBADH-DHILLI WAL HAROORI, WA MUNZILAL QUR'AANIL ADHWEEMI WA RABBAL MALAAIKATIL MUQARRABEEN WAL AMBIYAAI WAL MURSALEEN. ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS' ALUKA BI WAJ'HIKAL KAREEM WA BI NOORI WAJHIKAL MUNEERI WA MULKIKAL QADEEMI YAA HAYYU YAA QAYYOOMU AS'ALUKA BISMIKAL-LADHEE ASHRAKAT BIHIS-SAMAAWAATU WAL ARDHOONA WA BISMIKAL-LADHEE YASLAHU BIHIL AWWALOON WAL AAKHIROON YAA HAYYAN QABLA KULLI HAYYIN WA YAA HAYYAN BA'ADA KULLI HAYYIN WA YAA HAYYAN HEENA LAA HAYYA YAA MUHYIYAL MAWTA WA MUMEETATAL AHYAA'I YAA HAYYU LAA ILAAHA ILLA ANTA . ALLAAHUMMA BALLIGH MAWLAANAL IMAAMAL HAADIYAL MAHDIYYAL QAAIMA BI AMRIKA SWALAWAATULLAAHI ALAYHI WA ALAA AABAAIHIT-TWAAHIREEN AN JAMEE'IL MU'MINEENA WAL MU'MINAATI FI MASHAARIKIL ARDHI WA MAGHAARIBIHAA, SAHLIHAA WA JABALIHAA, BARRIHAA WA BAHRIHAA, WA ANNEE WA AN WAALIDAYYA, MINAS-SWALAWAATI ZINATA ARSHILLAAHI WA MIDAADA KALIMAATIHI, WAMAA AHSWAAHU ILMUHU WA AHAATWA BIHI KITAABUHU, ALLAAHUMMA INNEE UJADDIDU LAHOO FI SWABEEHATI YAWMI HAADHA, WAMAA ISHTU MIN AYYAAMI, AHDAN WA AQDAN WA BAY'ATAN LAHU FI UNUQEE LAA AHOOLU ANHA WALAA AZOOLU ABADAN. ALLAAHUMMAJ'ALNEE MINANSWAAARIHI WA A'AWAANIHI WADH-DHAABBEENA ANHU, WAL MUSAARI'EENA ILAYHI FI QADHAAI HAWAAIJIHI WAL MUM'TATHILEENA LI AWAAMIRIHI WAL MUHAA-MEENA ANHU, WAS-SAABIQEENA ILAA IRAADATIHI WAL MUSTASH'HADEENA BAYNA YADAYHI. ALLAAHUMMA IN HAALA BAYNI WA BAYNAHUL MAWTUL-LADHEE JA'ALTAHU ALAA IBAADIK HATMAN MAQDHIYYAN, FA AKHRIJNI MIN QABREE MU'TAZIRAN, KAFANEE SHAAHIRAN, SWAYFEE MUJARRIDAN, QANAATEE MULABBIYAN, DA'AWATAD-DAAII FIL HAADHIRI WAL BAADEE. ALLAAHUMA ARINIT-TWAL'ATAR-RASHEEDATA, WAL GHURRATAL HAMEEDATA, WAQHUL NAADHIRI BI NADHRATIN MINNEE ILAYHI, WA AJJIL FARAJAHU,WA SAHHIL MAKHRAJAHU, WA AWSI'A MAN'HAJAHU, WA ANFIDH AMRAHU, WASHDUD AZRAHU WA'MURILLAA-HUMMA BIHI BILAADAK, WA AHYI BIHI IBAADAK, FA INNAKA QULTA WA QAWLUKAL HAQQU DHWAHRAL FASAADU FIL BARRI WAL BAHRI, BIMAA KASABAT AYDINNAASI, FA AZHIRI-LLAAHUMMA LANAA WALIYYIK BINTI NABIYYIKAL MUSAMMA, BISMI RASOOLIK, HATTAA LAA YADHFARA BI SHAY'IN MINAL BAATWILI ILLAA MAZZAQAHU, WA YUHIQQAL HAQQA, WA YUHAQQIQAHU WAJ'ALHU ALLAAHUMMA MAFZA'AN LI MADHLOOMI IBAADIK WA NAASWIRAN LIMAN LAA YAJIDU LAHU NAASWIRAN GHAYRAK, WA MUJADDIDAN LIMA UTTWILA MIN AHKAAMI KITAABIK, WA MUSHAYYIDAN LIMAA WARADA MIN A'ALAAMI DEENIK,WA SUNANI NABIYYIK SWALLALLAAHU ALAYHI WA AALIHI WAJ'ALHU . ALLAAHUMMA MIMMAN HASSWANTAHU MIN BA'ASIL MU'TADEEN, ALLAAHUMMA WA SURRA NABIYYIK MUHAMMADIN SWALLALLAAHU ALAYHI WA AALIHI, BI RU'AYATIHI WAMAN TABIAHU ALAA DA'AWATIHI, WARHAMISTIKAANTINA BA'ADAHU, ALLAAHUMAKSHIF HAADHIHIL GHUMMATA AN HAADHIHIL UMMATAI, BI HUDHOORIHI WA AJJIL LANAA DHUHOORAHU, INNAHUM YARAWNAHU BAEEDAN WA NARAAHU QAREEBAN BI RAHMATIK YAA ARHAMAR-RAAHIMEEN.
THEN SAY 3 TIMES:
AL-AJAL AL-AJAL YAA SWAAHIBUZZAMAAN, - EACH TIME STRIKING SLOWLY YOUR RIGHT HAND ON THE THIGH.
اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ ٱلنُّورِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ | all¡humma rabba alnn£ri al`a¨¢mi | O Allah the Lord of the Great Light, |
وَرَبَّ ٱلْكُرْسِيِّ ٱلرَّفِيعِ | wa rabba alkursiyyi alrraf¢`i | the Lord of the Elevated Throne, |
وَرَبَّ ٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ | wa rabba alba¦ri almasj£ri | the Lord of the swollen ocean, |
وَمُنْزِلَ ٱلتَّوْرَاةِ وَٱلإِنْجِيلِ وَٱلزَّبُورِ | wa munzila alttawr¡ti wal-inj¢li wallzzab£ri | the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Psalms, |
وَرَبَّ ٱلظِّلِّ وَٱلْحَرُورِ | wa rabba al¨¨illi wal¦ar£ri | the Lord of shade and heat, |
وَمُنْزِلَ ٱلْقُرْآنِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ | wa munzila alqur'¡ni al`a¨¢mi | the Revealer of the Great Qur'¡n, |
وَرَبَّ ٱلْمَلاَئِكَةِ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ | wa rabba almal¡'ikati almuqarrab¢na | and the Lord of the Archangels, |
وَٱلانْبِيَاءِ وَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ | wal-anbiy¡'i walmursal¢na | the Prophets, and the Messengers: |
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اسْالُكَ بِٱسْمِكَ ٱلْكَرِيـمِ | all¡humma inn¢ as'aluka bismika alkar¢mi | O Allah, I beseech You in Your Noble Name, |
وَبِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ ٱلْمُنِيرِ | wa bin£ri wajhika almun¢ri | in the Light of Your Luminous Face |
وَمُلْكِكَ ٱلْقَدِيمِ | wa mulkika alqad¢mi | and Your Eternal Kingdom. |
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ | y¡ ¦ayyu y¡ qayy£mu | O Ever-living! O Self-Subsistent! |
اسْالُكَ بِٱسْمِكَ ٱلَّذِي اشْرَقَتْ بِهِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتُ وَٱلارَضُونَ | as'aluka bismika alladh¢ ashraqat bih¢ alssam¡w¡tu wal-ara¤£na | I beseech You in the name of Your Name with which the heavens and the earth have lit up |
وَبِٱسْمِكَ ٱلَّذِي يَصْلَحُ بِهِ ٱلاوَّلُونَ وَٱلآخِرُونَ | wa bismika alladh¢ ya¥lu¦u bih¢ al-awwal£na wal-¡khir£na | and in Your Name with which the past and the coming generations have become upright! |
يَا حَيّاً قَبْلَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ | y¡ ¦ayyan qabla kulli ¦ayyin | O He Who has been always alive before the existence of all living things! |
وَيَا حَيّاً بَعْدَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ | wa y¡ ¦ayyan ba`da kulli ¦ayyin | O He Who shall be alive after the extinction of all living things! |
وَيَا حَيّاً حِينَ لا حَيُّ | wa y¡ ¦ayyan ¦¢na l¡ ¦ayyu | O He Who has been always alive even when there was nothing else alive! |
يَا مُحْيِيَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَمُمِيتَ ٱلاحْيَاءِ | y¡ mu¦yiya almawt¡ wa mum¢ta al-a¦y¡'i | O He Who revives the dead ones and causes the living ones to die! |
يَا حَيُّ لا إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ | y¡ ¦ayyu l¡ il¡ha ill¡ anta | O Ever-living! There is no god save You. |
اَللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْ مَوْلاَنَا ٱلإِمَامَ ٱلْهَادِيَ ٱلْمَهْدِيَّ ٱلْقَائِمَ بِامْرِكَ | all¡humma balligh mawl¡n¡ al-im¡ma alh¡diya almahdiyya alq¡'ima bi'amrika | O Allah, convey to our master Imam al-Mahd¢, the guide who is to undertake Your orders, |
صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ آبَائِهِ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ | ¥alaw¡tu all¡hi `alayhi wa `al¡ ¡b¡'ih¢ al§§¡hir¢na | may Allah’s blessings be upon him and upon his immaculate fathers, |
عَنْ جَمِيعِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ | `an jam¢`i almu'min¢na walmu'min¡ti | on behalf of all of the believing men and women |
فِي مَشَارِقِ ٱلارْضِ وَمَغَارِبِهَا | f¢ mash¡riqi al-ar¤i wa magh¡ribih¡ | in the east and west of the earth |
سَهْلِهَا وَجَبَلِهَا | sahlih¡ wa jabalih¡ | and in plains, mountains, |
وَبَرِّهَا وَبَحْرِهَا | wa barrih¡ wa ba¦rih¡ | lands, and seas, |
وَعَنِّي وَعَنْ وَالِدَيَّ | wa `ann¢ wa `an w¡lidayya | and on behalf of my parents |
مِنَ ٱلصَّلَوَاتِ زِنَةَ عَرْشِ ٱللَّهِ | min al¥¥alaw¡ti zinata `arshi all¡hi | (convey to him) blessings that are as weighty as Allah’s Throne, |
وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ | wa mid¡da kalim¡tih¢ | as much as the ink of His Words, |
وَمَا احْصَاهُ عِلْمُهُ وَاحَاطَ بِهِ كِتَابُهُ | wa m¡ a¦¥¡hu `ilmuh£ wa a¦¡§a bih¢ kit¡buh£ | and as many as that which is counted by His knowledge and encompassed by His Book. |
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اجَدِّدُ لَهُ فِي صَبِيحَةِ يَوْمِي هٰذَا | all¡humma inn¢ ujaddidu lah£ f¢ ¥ab¢¦ati yawm¢ h¡dh¡ | O Allah, I update to him in the beginning of this day |
وَمَا عِشْتُ مِنْ ايَّامِي | wa m¡ `ishtu min ayy¡m¢ | and throughout the days of lifetime a pledge, |
عَهْداً وَعَقْداً وَبَيْعَةً لَهُ فِي عُنُقِي | `ahdan wa `aqdan wa bay`atan lah£ f¢ `unuq¢ | a covenant, and allegiance to which I commit myself |
لا احُولُ عَنْه وَلا ازُولُ ابَداً | l¡ a¦£lu `anhu wa l¡ az£lu abadan | and from which I neither convert nor change. |
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ انْصَارِهِ | all¡humma ij`aln¢ min an¥¡rih¢ | O Allah, (please do) make me of his supporters, |
وَاعْوَانِهِ وَٱلذَّابِّينَ عَنْهُ | wa a`w¡nih¢ waldhdh¡bb¢na `anhu | sponsors, defenders, |
وَٱلْمُسَارِعِينَ إِلَيْهِ فِي قَضَاءِ حَوَائِجِهِ | walmus¡ri`¢na ilayhi f¢ qa¤¡'i ¦aw¡'ijih¢ | and those who hurry in carrying out his instructions, |
وَٱلْمُمْتَثِلِينَ لاِوَامِرِهِ | walmumtathil¢na li'aw¡mirih¢ | those who comply with his orders, |
وَٱلْمُحَامِينَ عَنْهُ | walmu¦¡m¢na `anhu | those who uphold him, |
وَٱلسَّابِقِينَ إِلَىٰ إِرَادَتِهِ | walss¡biq¢na il¡ ir¡datih¢ | those who precede others to implementing his will, |
وَٱلْمُسْتَشْهَدِينَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ | walmustashhad¢na bayna yadayhi | and those who will be martyred before him. |
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنْ حَالَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ ٱلْمَوْتُ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلْتَهُ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِكَ حَتْماً مَقْضِيّاً | allahumma in ¦¡la bayn¢ wa baynah£ almawtu alladh¢ ja`altah£ `al¡ `ib¡dika ¦atman maq¤iyyan | O Allah, if death that You have made inevitably and certainly incumbent upon Your servants stands between me and him, |
فَاخْرِجْنِي مِنْ قَبْرِي مُؤْتَزِراً كَفَنِي | fa'akhrijn¢ min qabr¢ mu'taziran kafan¢ | then (please do) take me out of my grave using my shroud as dress, |
شَاهِراً سَيْفِي | sh¡rihan sayf¢ | unsheathing my sword, |
مُجَرِّداً قَنَاتِي | mujarridan qan¡t¢ | holding my lance in my hand, |
مُلَبِّياً دَعْوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِي فِي ٱلْحَاضِرِ وَٱلْبَادِي | mulabbiyan da`wata aldd¡`¢ fil¦¡¤iri walb¡d¢ | and responding to the call of the Caller who shall announce (his advent) in urban areas and deserts. |
اَللَّهُمَّ ارِنِي ٱلطَّلْعَةَ ٱلرَّشِيدَةَ | all¡humma arin¢ al§§al`ata alrrash¢data | O Allah, (please do) show me his magnificent mien |
وَٱلْغُرَّةَ ٱلْحَمِيدَةَ | walghurrata al¦am¢data | and his praiseworthy forehead, |
وَٱكْحُلْ نَاظِرِي بِنَظْرَةٍ مِنِّي إِلَيْهِ | wak¦ul n¡¨ir¢ bina¨ratin minn¢ ilayhi | delight my eyes by letting me have a look at him. |
وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُ | wa `ajjil farajah£ | And (please) expedite his relief, |
وَسَهِّلْ مَخْرَجَهُ | wa sahhil makhrajah£ | make his reappearance easy, |
وَاوْسِعْ مَنْهَجَهُ | wa awsi` manhajah£ | clear a spacious space for him, |
وَٱسْلُكْ بِي مَحَجَّتَهُ | wasluk b¢ mu¦ajjatah£ | guide me to follow his course, |
وَانْفِذْ امْرَهُ | wa anfidh amrah£ | give success to his issues, |
وَٱشْدُدْ ازْرَهُ | washdud azrah£ | and confirm his strength. |
وَٱعْمُرِ ٱللَّهُمَّ بِهِ بِلادَكَ | wa`mur all¡humma bih¢ bil¡daka | O Allah, construct Your lands through him |
وَاحْيِ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ | wa a¦yi bih¢ `ib¡daka | and refresh Your servants through him, |
فَإِنَّكَ قُلْتَ وَقَوْلُكَ ٱلْحَقُّ: | fa'innaka qulta wa qawluka al¦aqqu | For You have said, and true are Your words: |
«ظَهَرَ ٱلْفَسَادُ فِي ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ | ¨ahara alfas¡du filbarri walba¦ri | “Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea |
بِمَا كَسَبَتْ ايْدِي ٱلنَّاسِ.» | bim¡ kasabat ayd¢ alnn¡si | on account of what the hands of men have wrought.” |
فَاظْهِرِ ٱللَّهُمَّ لَنَا وَلِيَّكَ | fa'a¨hir all¡humma lan¡ waliyyaka | So, O Allah, (please) show us Your vicegerent, |
وَٱبْنَ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ | wabna binti nabiyyika | the son of Your Prophet, |
ٱلْمُسَمَّىٰ بِٱسْمِ رَسُولِكَ | almusamm¡ bismi ras£lika | and the namesake of Your Messenger, |
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ | ¥all¡ all¡hu `alayhi wa ¡lih¢ | peace be upon him and his Household, |
حَتَّىٰ لا يَظْفَرَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ ٱلْبَاطِلِ إِلاَّ مَزَّقَهُ | ¦att¡ l¡ ya¨fara bishay'in min alb¡§ili ill¡ mazzaqah£ | so that he shall tear up any wrong item that he will face |
وَيُحِقُّ ٱلْحَقَّ وَيُحَقِّقَهُ | wa ya¦iqqa al¦aqqa wa yu¦aqqiqah£ | and shall confirm and approve of the truth. |
وَٱجْعَلْهُ ٱللَّهُمَّ مَفْزَعاً لِمَظْلُومِ عِبَادِكَ | waj`alhu all¡humma mafza`an lima¨l£mi `ib¡dika | O Allah, (please) make him the shelter to whom Your wronged servants shall resort, |
وَنَاصِراً لِمَنْ لا يَجِدُ لَهُ نَاصِراً غَيْرَكَ | wa n¡¥iran liman l¡ yajidu lah£ n¡¥iran ghayraka | the supporter of those who cannot find any supporter save You, |
وَمُجَدِّداً لِمَا عُطِّلَ مِنْ احْكَامِ كِتَابِكَ | wa mujaddidan lim¡ `u§§ila min a¦k¡mi kit¡bika | the reviver of the laws of Your Book that have been suspended, |
وَمُشَيِّداً لِمَا وَرَدَ مِنْ اعْلامِ دِينِكَ وَسُنَنِ نَبِيِّكَ | wa mushayyidan lim¡ warada min a`l¡mi d¢nika wa sunani nabiyyika | and the constructor of all signs of Your religion and instructions of Your Messenger, |
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِهِ | ¥all¡ all¡hu `alayhi wa ¡lih¢ | peace be upon him and his Household, that he will see. |
وَٱجْعَلْهُ ٱللَّهُمَّ مِمَّنْ حَصَّنْتَهُ مِنْ بَاسِ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ | waj`alhu all¡humma mimman ¦a¥¥antah£ min ba'si almu`tad¢na | O Allah, (please) include him with those whom You protect from the domination of the aggressors. |
اَللَّهُمَّ وَسُرَّ نَبِيَّكَ مُحَمَّداً | all¡humma wa surra nabiyyaka mu¦ammadan | O Allah, (please) delight Your Prophet Mu¦ammad, |
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِهِ | ¥all¡ all¡hu `alayhi wa ¡lih¢ | peace be upon him and his Household, |
بِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُ عَلَىٰ دَعْوَتِهِ | biru'yatih¢ wa man tabi`ah£ `al¡ da`watih¢ | as well as all those who followed him in his promulgation by making (us) see him, |
وَٱرْحَمِ ٱسْتِكَانَتَنَا بَعْدَهُ | war¦am istik¡natan¡ ba`dah£ | and (please) have mercy upon our humiliation after him. |
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱكْشِفْ هٰذِهِ ٱلْغُمَّةَ عَنْ هٰذِهِ ٱلامَّةِ بِحُضُورِهِ | all¡humma ikshif h¡dhih¢ alghummata `an h¡dhih¢ al-ummati bi¦u¤£rih¢ | O Allah, (please) relieve this community from the (current) grief through presenting him |
وَعَجِّلْ لَنَا ظُهُورَهُ | wa `ajjil lan¡ ¨uh£rah£ | and expedite his advent for us: |
«إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُ بَعِيداً وَنَرَاهُ قَرِيباً.» | innahum yarawnah£ ba`¢dan wa nar¡hu qar¢ban | “Surely, they think it to be far off, and We see it nigh.” |
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا ارْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ | bira¦matika y¡ ar¦ama alrr¡¦im¢na | [do all that] In the name of Your mercy; O most merciful of all those who show mercy. |
You may then slap your right thigh with your hand three times and, at each time, say the following words:
الْعَجَلَ ٱلْعَجَلَ يَامَوْلايَ يَا صَاحِبَ ٱلزَّمَانِ | al`ajala al`ajala y¡ mawl¡ya y¡ ¥¡¦iba alzzam¡ni | (We pray for Your) earliest advent, earliest advent, O Patron of the Age. |
